Well, I'll definitely be playing it. But I find it funny how very few responses there are in this thread. Has the community lost the enthusiam? Have the
fans become apathetic as another Ace Attorney without the Ace Attorney, Phoenix, as the main protagonist nears? Did Apollo truly ruin the franchise?

I was never really interested in Miles Edgeworth as a character so yeah, on the one hand, I miss Phoenix and even Apollo more. I also hate the fact that this
game doesn't have a court scene considering those were by far the funnest segments of AA. As it stands, it's more of a simple point and click detective
game, so logically the main character should be Gumshoe/Ema Skye, but instead we get Edgeworth so all the fanboys can be pleased.
I'm much rather looking forward to a GS5 if only to see how the gameplay can be shaken up from Apollo Justice, now that the story's developed to include a jury. A court/trial sequence where you've got to convince respective members of the jury depending on how strong your particular evidence and argument is sounds like it'd be awesome, if Capcom were to go down such a road.

Pfft...Apollo ruined nothing but Fanboys snivelling dreams of another Phoenix Standalone game - I can't see why everyone makes a big deal of it.
Scissorhead lawyerboy Apollo is JUST as good, considering the originals were all written in 01, 02, and 04 originally.
Anyhow - I'm getting this game, definately - and then Ace Attorney 5...because, yeah, I want the whole damn lot. =D

From what I've seen, it looks like the missing Court sections that everyone seems worried about will be replicated in this installment in the Confrontation sections. This is looking like it'll be the best game in the series by a long way.

It's out mid-Feb in both NA and EU. This is the first I've seen of the game besides the trailers and I have to say, the logic system seems pretty cool,
but I'm not a fan of the movement. Fortunately the stylus controls wont be too difficult to get to grips with in comparison to Zelda, so I can take the
small evil for the sake of story.
Eager and ready for it to come out. |
