Ummm...this isn't Sonic 3. LOL
J/k! This is cool. I never did play these anyway.

Even I am interested in this and I quit Pokemon a while back.
Well played, Nintendo. Well played. |

This means I'll probably have to play some Platinum now. And double check on my Diamond save...

In any case, I still know a bit about the games and I hope these remakes contain new formes for Ho-Oh, Lugia and Celebi.

And now they have no excuse for not giving us Celebi without cheating this generation. w00t!

This is not Panzer Dragoon Saga. You're on notice Hiro.

I can see it now - Movie 13 will feature Celebi + a Generation V legendary and Dawn will eventually get two Johto starters (ie. Chikorita and Cyndaquil,
just like May got two Kanto starters - Squirtle and Bulbasaur) as new ways for the anime series to advertise Heart Gold and Soul Silver.

Gold Heart and Silver Soul would sound slightly better.
Bring on Totodile. |

ANYWAY... I'm really excited about this. GSC was always my favorite generation. Hoping the redone surf theme stays awesome.

What, not giving a hoot about Pokémon means I never had a GBA now?

This is not the remake I was looking for. </Obi Wan>
Also, much like Capcom with Marvel Vs Capcom 2, this poorly kept secret was poorly kept and well predicted long before hand. Not unwelcome though. Now we just need a good remake of all three Shining Force III scenarios, and we can call it a good day for remakes. |

I'd have preferred Gold Sun and Silver Moon, but you get what you get.
G/S were definitely the best generation of Pokemon games if only for how huge they were; an impressively expansive number of pokemon to catch, 16 badges to collect, two massive worlds to explore and without a doubt the best story a Pokemon game's had (as far as story goes in Pokemon, at any rate). Not to mention the final boss being the character you played as in R/B was awesome <3 However, whilst the thought of a remake sounds oh so sexy, on the one hand I kind of just want Nintendo to do a new Pokemon game, but take everything that made G/S so great and actually put it in the new game (exploring old lands and seeing old faces, a decent enough story, etc etc).
20th Century Boys Go read it, damnit. |

I can't wait to see the accumulative rage and tears of thousands of Pokenerds when it's revealed that they removed the Kanto portion of G/S for another
Battle Frontier/Island/Tower bit postgame.

Kanto was in G/S? Is that what that half of a region was in the second half of the game?
I always felt G/S was the weakest generation. The Pokemon were good, but the layout of the post-E4 game was horrid. Kanto was a mere shadow of its former self. No Safari Zone, no Seafoam Islands, no Power Plant, no Pokemon Mansion, and no Unknown Dungeon. And no, I don't count the Bug-type ripoff as a suitable replacement of the original Safari Zone. |
